Every year, the Department of Education, our accrediting bodies, and a number of ranking surveys request data from different areas within Moody. These external reports encourage collaboration from key departments around the institute. In coordination with those key departments and data providers at Moody, we facilitate most of the external reporting surveys and assist with other requests.

The Common Data Set (CDS) is an annual survey published by data providers within an institution of higher education, in a collaborative effort, to provide data that answers the same key core questions for students, prospective students, and their families. This annual survey is a result of an initiative to provide accurate and accessible information about the college, while reducing the reporting workload of data providers.
The various topics of the CDS include, general college information, admissions data, enrollment and retention data, student financial data, financial aid data, and student life information.
